Brown was the only competitor in the field to finish in red figures thanks to a round of 1-under 69, which propelled him to the top of the leaderboard. Quality play on the par-fives proved advantageous for Brown as he was able to make birdies on both holes. Two more birdies over the finishing five holes closed out the deal and led to Brown hoisting the trophy at the end of the day.

Coming in second in the Men’s Division with a solid round of 1-over 71 was Tyler Stagg of Westchester Hills. Darrin Sloan of Haverstraw, the 2015 Tournament of Champions winner, also had a strong showing as his round 2-over 72 led to a third place finish.

In the Women’s Division, Catelyn Letizia was able to use her local knowledge of the course to shoot a round of 12-over 82, which was four shots clear of the closest competitor. Skye Gregory of Osiris finished second with a round of 16-over 86, while Rebecca Carretta of Manhattan Woods rounded out the top three finishers with a round of 17-over 87.

As for the senior divisions, Vassalotti emerged victorious from the men’s after an impressive round of 2-over 72 and Virtue took home the trophy from the women’s with a round of 17-over 87.
