WGA Schedule Announced
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (February 8, 2024) -- It's not often that a club as rich in history as The Saint Andrew's Golf Club gets to do something new, but 2024 will mark the first time it hosts the Westchester Open Championship Presented by Poland Spring. The 102nd playing of the event will take place June 10-11, headlining another season of Westchester Golf Association championships.

Qualifying rounds for the Westchester Open will take place May 1 at Rockland Country Club in Sparkill, N.Y., and May 14 at The Country Club at Otterkill in Campbell Hall, N.Y. Despite it being the first Westchester Open Championship at Saint Andrew's, the club that was founded in 1888 has been a longtime supporter of WGA events, serving as the host of the now-retired British Victory Cup from 1998-2016, and more recently hosting the WGA Mid-Amateur and WGA Senior Open championships.
Meanwhile, the 105th Westchester Amateur, Senior and Super Senior championships will take place at Tamarack Country Club in Greenwich, Conn., July 8-10. Tamarack, who last fall undertook extensive course work for its master plan, has hosted the WGA's oldest championship on three occasions (1971, 1984, and 2000). The match play positions will be determined at two separate qualifiers. Senior and Super Senior division players will earn their seeds from qualifying on June 4 at The Redding Country Club while championship division seeding gets determined in qualifying on June 6 at Mahopac Golf Club. Two-time defending champion Ryan Coughlin of Westchester would take the top seed should he aim to contend for a third straight title.
The 4th Westchester Senior Open Presented by Lexus will then head to Round Hill Club in Greenwich, Conn., on August 12 for the one-day championship.
Details for the WGA's Junior and Boys' as well as Mid-Amateur championships are to be announced.
Members of clubs and courses in the nine-county region of the WGA may also compete for WGA division titles in the Metropolitan Golf Association's Parent-Child Championship (July 22, Nissequoge Golf Club), Father & Son Championship (August 12, Springdale Golf Club), and Mixed Pinehurst Championship (TBA).
Championship registration will open on March 1 at 10 a.m., once again using the Golf Genius platform.
