Brian R. Mahoney Named MGA Executive Director

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (December 20, 2016) – The Metropolitan Golf Association has named Brian R. Mahoney as the Association’s new executive director, effective February 1, 2017.

McCormick earns Asian Tour membership for 2017

UPDATE (January 14, 2017) - Ryan McCormick secured his membership on the Asian Tour for 2017 on Saturday, carding a 2-under 70 in the final round of the Final Stage of Asian Tour Qualifying School at Suvarnabhumi Golf & Country Club in Bangkok, Thailand. While fellow Met Area competitor Mike Miller closed with a final round 67, the Brewster, N.Y., native narrowly missed the top-35 finish required for membership.

Sullivan elected MGA President; Hagestad, Roberts honored at Annual Meeting

Sullivan of East Williston, N.Y., was elected to serve a one-year term as the 63rd President of the Metropolitan Golf Association, Wednesday, December 7, at the Association’s 119th Annual Meeting and Dinner at Westchester Country Club in Harrison, N.Y.

Hagestad competing in South American Amateur Open

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (January 19, 2017) - The 12th South American Amateur Open takes place January 19-22 at Martindale Country Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and 2016 MGA Player of the Year Stewart Hagestad is in the field, one of four competitors chosen by the USGA to represent the United States.
