SANDS POINT, N.Y. (March 11, 2022) -- This past summer, the MGA Foundation's cornerstone program, GOLFWORKS, returned to Met Area clubs. In total, 147 GOLFWORKS interns worked at 39 clubs during the summer months, gaining valuable work, golf, and life experiences. In addition to the 147 interns participating in MGA programming, 18 former interns were hired directly by clubs, showcasing the relationships forged between intern and club during the GOLFWORKS program.

As part of the continued mission to grow the game of golf, the MGA Foundation is celebrating the opportunities provided for juniors with a Youth on Course Membership. YOC member Brian Bason recently shared his experience as part of the program and what he's learned from the game of golf with the MGAF.
BRONX, N.Y. (Jan 21, 2022) – Like many instructors at the First Tee Mosholu site, Karina Mangru was introduced to golf as a participant in the First Tee’s after school programming. Mangru started early, picking up a club shortly after she could walk and jumping into the First Tee programs at just five years old.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (November 10, 2021) – Olivia Sexton has been involved with The First Tee program for over half her life. Sexton first learned about golf when she started taking part in The First Tee’s after-school programming at the age of nine. Just like that, golf went from a sport she had heard about a few times to a passion.
